As Telecommunication Services Director at Banca Intesa, the largest banking group in Italy, Mr. Ronzoni was a member of the Corporate Integration Group and responsible for the Group’s entire information infrastructure. Key accomplishments include integrating 3 large banks with a total of more than 6,000 branches, deploying a new satellite-based Web-TV service to collaborate with over near 60,000 employees, launching a voice trading service and implementing a new technical infrastructure to satisfy business continuity needs.
Earlier in his career, as Executive Director at Fininvest where Mr. Ronzoni was responsible for a 20 billion lire operating budget and 9 billion lire of capital expenditures, he facilitated an aggressive acquisition campaign to diversify the company’s market coverage into the fields of entertainment, publishing, financial services, retailing and real estate with significant technology infrastructure improvements. His most important accomplishments during this tenure include deploying telecommunication and value added services in support of nationwide voice, data and video, multichannel banking services, call center design, pay TV and insurance agent services.
As Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Mediaset Communications, a telecommunications spin-off created to enable Fininvest Group to enter the domestic telecommunication services market he negotiated alliances partnerships with international carriers British Telecom, Cable&Wireless, A.T.&T. and Unisource.
Early in his career, as system software designer at Honeywell’s Research and Development Labs (Pregnana Milanese) and Mr. Ronzoni held a variety of roles developing the company’s communication software.
